COVID19 Update - July 20th

New Date: TBD

As many of you are aware, Set Up Events has postponed every 2020 triathlon to date. Recently both of our August race weekends, Lake Logan and Lake Lure were postponed until 2021. It has been our approach to wait until about one month prior to race dates to make the calls. With the uncertainty surrounding Covid-19, we have felt that waiting until one-month prior to races was the prudent time frame.

However, today we are announcing the official postponement of both the White Lake Triathlon weekend in September as well as our new “Clash of the Carolinas” team event in October at White Lake. The reason for this announcement in late July is due to the decision that the North Carolina FFA folks in Raleigh just made. The FFA Center at White Lake will be closed for the remainder of 2020.

Everyone currently registered for the White Lake Fall Sprint, the White Lake Fall International (both in Sept.) or the Clash in the Carolinas will automatically be deferred to the 2021 races. There is nothing that registered participants (or teams) need to proactively do – this deferment is automatic.

Registered participants also have the option to transfer their registrations to another NCTS race in 2021. Since everything is so up-in- the-air right now, this decision does not need to be made now. Registered participants can wait to see when things return to normal, and then transfer their registrations to other NCTS races.

We hope people understand that we will not be offering a refund option. This is consistent with our normal policy regarding event postponements. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
Thanks for your patronage and we look forward to the day when we can get back to the business of staging endurance events.
