Wild Horse 5K

Race Postponed:

The Foundation for Shackleford Horses, Inc. has decided to postpone the Wild Horse 5K and Fun Run scheduled for Nov 5. We believe that with all of the devastation and suffering following Hurricane Matthew, it would be best to wait and hold the race at another time. People are focused on recovery and rebuilding now, and we don't wish to distract from those efforts. We will be contacting registrants to arrange refunds. Please check Run the East's website and the Foundation's Facebook page for announcements regarding rescheduling.

A family friendly 5K and Fun Run/Walk on one of North Carolina's most beautiful islands, with a view of the Cape Lookout National Seashore, home to the wild horses of Shackleford Banks. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Foundation for Shackleford Horses, Inc., whose mission is to preserve and protect the wild horses of Shackleford Banks for future generations. Please join us and run for the locals!

Fees:

5K: $25 in advance, $30 on race day
Fun Run: $15 

Discount of $5 per person for groups of 4 or more (must sign up together online).

T-shirts included for those signing up by 10/22.
