·      START – exit Pinehurst Marina – turn left 1/10th  mile @ Burning Tree
·      Turn left immediately on Linden Rd.
·      Go 2 miles – turn right on Hwy 5
·      Go 1.1 miles – turn right on Sand Pit Rd.
·      Go 1.2 miles – turn right on Roseland Rd.
·      Go 2 miles – bear left onto Rose Ridge Rd.
·      Go 3 miles – cross Hoffman Rd. (stay straight) – Rose Ridge becomes Patterson Rd.
·      Go 2.3 miles  - turn left on Sycamore Lane
·      Go 4/10th mile – turn right on McBride Rd.
·      Go 1 mile – turn right on Derby Rd.
·      Go 3.4 miles – turn right on Pinehurst Rd.
      NOTE: This corner will be the water bottle hand-off location
·      Go 1.3 miles – turn left on Cedar Lane Rd.
·      Go 2/10th mile – turn right on Richmond Rd.
·      Go 3.3 miles – turn left on Hoffman Rd.
·      Turn right immediately on Tie Rd.
·      Go 2/10th mile – turn right on Foxfire Rd.
·      Go 3.8 miles – turn right on Linden Rd.
·      Go 1.8 miles – turn left on Burning Tree Rd.
·      Turn right immediately on Diamondhead Rd.
·      FINISH immediately ahead.

•   Friday, May 17th (4:00 PM - 7:00 PM) 
•   Saturday, May 18th (6:00 AM - 7:00 AM) 

Important things to remember:

•   A photo ID is required for packet pick-up.
•   Cash, Check or Credit Card are accepted.
•   All participants must pick up their own race packet. (Including all relay team members)
•   USA Triathlon requires that all annual members must show their USAT membership card at packet pick-up.
•   Any USAT annual member who does not present his/her valid membership card at packet pick-up,
    will be required to pay the USAT one-day fee of $15. No exceptions.


A participant orientation meeting will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 17th at the Gazebo on the beach. We will cover as many details as possible about the race and questions will be encouraged. A representative from USA Triathlon will also be on hand to discuss USAT issues and concerns relative to rules and safety. This meeting should last about 30 minutes - we encourage everyone to attend.


All participants, volunteers, and spectators must park in a big grass parking lot on Linden Rd. - approx. 1/2 mile from the Pinehurst Marina.

We have been asked by the Village of Pinehurst to follow this procedure based on complaints that they received from area residents. Continued complaints from Pinehurst area residents could jeopardize the future of the Pinehurst Triathlon. This parking process has now been in place since 2006.

The Village of Pinehurst will have a tow truck on duty that morning and will tow ANY vehicles that are not parked in the grass parking lot on Linden Rd.
