Benefactor is Bob's Buddies

Bob’s Buddies began in 2007 after G105 air personality Bob Dumas from the popular radio morning show, “Bob and the Showgram” was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.  After a resection, chemo and radiation,  Bob and his wife Lu knew his life was spared for a reason. Every time Bob went to Duke for treatment, Bob and Lu were  always grateful that they  were going to big Duke and not the children’s hospital.  We couldn’t imagine a parent having to watch their child go through that.  That’s when Bob’s Buddies began.  Bob and his family and his radio family are committed to finding better treatments and one day a cure for pediatric brain tumor patients.  100% of the money raised for Bob’s Buddies goes to research to try and find better treatments and a cure.
