The purpose of the race, other than to have a great 5K event, is to raise funds for the CART Fund. The CART Fund is a project of the Rotary Clubs of North America. CART has raised over 7.2 million dollars to fund cutting edge research for the search to prevent Alzheimer's disease. CART started in 1996 with Rotarians voluntarily emptying their pockets and purses of change at weekly meetings. As important as research is, of equal importance is the care in promoting and sustaining independence for seniors. That is why we are proud to promote a portion of the proceeds to Elderhaus The Race to Remember 5K offers a great reason to run for those who can no longer remember - Remember their loved ones, their lives or their dreams. Let's do what we can to defeat this terrible illness. Please donate if possible when you register.
