The Twin City City Track Club Annual Picnic is an opportunity for club members to get together in a social setting and to conduct official club business and elections. We are proceeding with plans for a 2021 picnic, but will do things a little differently due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
Date: Sunday, May 2, 2021
Place: Leinbach Park
3511 Sally Kirk Road, Winston Salem, 27104
4:00 pm - Arrive for fun and socializing
5:00 pm - Food served
5:30 pm - Announcements and introduction of the 2021-2022 Board
All TCTC members are invited to attend as well as family members. Admission is free, but please sign up by Saturday, May 1 at 12 noon if you want a guaranteed boxed meal.
Instead of the usual burgers/hotdogs and potluck sides we will be providing prepared box meals from Jason’s deli. There will be a variety of lunch meat sandwiches as well as a pickle, chips and a dessert. We will have water and sodas to drink. Please sign up for a box meal only if you want one. You are welcome to bring your own food/drink if preferred, but not for sharing. We are not allowing food sharing to reduce risk of disease transmission. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not allowed in city parks.
Attendance is capped at 100 people total. We request that people follow proper social distancing guidelines and wear a mask unless you are eating/drinking while in attendance. To accommodate spacing, we will bring extra tables (depending upon the number of RSVPs) to set up outside of the shelter area. Please bring a lawn chair to help out with seating at the extra tables. If the forecast is for poor weather, then the event may be postponed or canceled.
All elections and voting are being conducted online this year. Click here for more details about board elections and proposed Bylaws changes.
Since the voting is online this year we will be using the picnic as more of a social event to allow TCTC members to meet/greet the current and new board members. It will also be an opportunity to meet new and old TCTC members that you haven’t seen in a while.
