Ride for PMP Overview

Ride for PMP is a team virtual cycling challenge to come together as a community to support the Paterson Music Project. Since the Garden State Fondo has been cancelled this year due to the pandemic, we invite you to bike indoors or outdoors to help us fundraise for the Paterson Music Project. This free virtual cycling challenge will support dedicated young musicians in Paterson.

What is a Virtual Challenge?

Help us reach our team goal of biking 1,000 miles for Paterson Music Project in the month of September! Riders can complete miles indoors or outdoors. Please follow social distancing guidelines for your area. Post your results as you go, or the total miles at the end of the challenge.

Help Us Fundraise

Participation is free, but we encourage all riders to support Paterson Music Project by creating a fundraising page! Help us provide ongoing support for our students by sharing your page to your contacts via email or social media. All funds raised will provide crucial support to provide free musical training to our dedicated students in Paterson.

About Us

The Paterson Music Project (PMP) is an after-school program that uses music as a vehicle for social change and community development. PMP serves over 200 Paterson students each year, tuition free. After Paterson schools closed due to the pandemic, PMP acted quickly to launch its first virtual music classes. In the first week, we offered 60+ sessions of interactive programs. PMP provided regular synchronous learning to promote growth, engagement, and socialization in these challenging times.
