WHO: The Joseph Fund 5K is presented by The Joseph Fund and the South Jersey Young Professionals Association (SJYPA). For more information on these organizations, please see below.
WHAT: The Joseph Fund 5K will take place at the scenic Cooper's Poynt Waterfront Park in Camden, NJ, where The Joseph Fund calls home. Participants can choose the 5K or the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Youth are welcome and encouraged.
WHEN: May 19, 2019 - 8:30 a.m.
WHAT MAKES THIS 5K DIFFERENT THAN OTHER 5Ks: Participants will run alongside dozens of Camden, New Jersey youth who are running their first 5K and who have trained with volunteers leading up to the event. We are thrilled to introduce these children to the world of running and to promote fitness and healthy lifestyles.
The Joseph Fund 5K Run/Walk is a timed event on a scenic, waterfront, flat 5K course with amazing views of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Our event will feature great pre-race and post-race activities and so much more!
All 5K proceeds will go to The Joseph Fund, a Camden-based charitable organization dedicated to serving its community.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATIONS
THE JOSEPH FUND is a non-profit which oversees numerous charitable missions operating in Camden, NJ, including:
St. Joseph Child Development Center - provides preschool for Camden's 3 and 4 year olds with an emphasis on a quality, positive, secure and stimulating learning environment.
LUCY (Lifting Up Camden's Youth) - a youth outreach program for 12-19 year olds, which has a 100% high school graduation rate and from which 97% of program graduates enroll in college, while 3% enlist in active duty in the United States military.
Joseph's House - provides daily care to Camden's homeless, including two meals per day, showers, laundry and counseling, serving 75-80 guests per night.
Romero Center - offers a variety of programs for youth to learn about systemic poverty and to nurture their call to serve.
St. Joseph's Carpenter Society - a respected leader in the revitalization of East Camden, which has participated in the building, renovation and repair of more than 1,200 affordable homes, renovation and construction of 963 homes, and painting and repairs to 300 homes.
St. Joseph Pro-Cathedral School - a K-8 Catholic School serving the community of East Camden under the direction of the Diocese of Camden.
