The 10th Annual Pitman Education Foundation’s Panther Prowl 5K will be a virtual event this year to ensure the safety of our participants. The event will run from October 10th through October 25th. While the Panther Prowl is traditionally a 5K, this year you can run or walk (or even bike) any route, anywhere, for any distance. There is no specific course you need to use. Run or walk with your kids, your friends, your family, your dog! Participate to show your support for our wonderful teachers!
Keep in mind that your run is virtual and will not be supported. There will not be a water stop and there will be no volunteers to stop traffic. Participants will need to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
After you finish, share a picture on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #virtuallyontheprowl. After the conclusion of the event, several fun prizes will be awarded to participants who share their run/walk on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #virtuallyontheprowl (Hint, hint--one will be for the participant with the most Pitman school spirit!)
There will not be any awards for overall winners and age group winners due to the format of this year’s event.
Each participant will receive a Panther Prowl T-shirt, designed by Pitman High School students. T-shirt pickup will occur AFTER the event, on Monday, November 16th from 6:00-7:30 at the lower pavilion at Alcyon Park. This is located near the lake and boat ramp. We will not be mailing any T-shirts. If you cannot attend the T-shirt pickup, contact Kristen Russell via text at 856-981-5719.
All proceeds of this event go directly to funding grants for Pitman School District teachers. These grants help to fund things like subscriptions to online learning materials, books, musical instruments, art supplies, and special events. This year more than ever, our teachers and schools need our support! Thank you for participating!
