Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our 2017 You Matter Walk/Run. We plan to hold the event again in the near future, and feel this postponement is necessary in order to present the best possible experience for our participants, sponsors and consumers. We sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause you and are truly grateful for your continued support. You will receive a full refund of your registration within 7-10 business days in the same form of payment that you used to register.
We will be in touch when a new date is set and we hope you will be able to join us then to create the awareness and support that is so critical to mental health and suicide prevention. If you have any questions, please contact me at 609-261-7315.

Come out and join us for our 3rd annual “YOU MATTER” family fun run and walk. The course runs through Washington Lake Park, a beautiful 410+ acre park complex in Washington Township, New Jersey. This is a family event that includes a 3K family walk & 5K run and a FREE Kid's Dash!!! This event is organized to honor the memory of Joseph “Joey” DeRose. May 1st, 2017 will mark three years since Joey suddenly passed away. Like many others Joey battled with depression and chose suicide as his option for peace. Our goal is to reduce & eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness and to raise awareness & support for suicide prevention. We wanted to share Joey’s story and celebrate his life in May rather than remember the tragedy in hopes to help others reach out for help. In addition, May is mental health awareness month and also the time where flowers begin to bloom showing signs of new life and new beginnings. We want to celebrate everyone’s life and encourage new beginnings because “YOU MATTER.”
