HOWLoween Fun Run

Horseshoe Lake (near the Pavilion)

Proceeds go to Nixon PTA with a portion donated to Roxbury Social Services Food Panty

Race check-in will be held in the pavilion. 8:30 AM Check-In- 10 AM Race starts

Race will run regardless of weather unless there is lightning (no refunds)

Event is open to all ages

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

This is not a competitive race.  The Fun Run is about fun for participants at all levels. That is why we offer to walk or run.  You are welcomed to time yourself but don’t expect it to be one of your faster runs. 

Strollers are welcome.   We want kids to be a part of this, even our non-runner/walkers! 

 Dogs and bikes are prohibited:  For the safety of all our runners and dogs, and for the emotional well-being of those who may be intimidated by dogs, no dogs or bikes will be permitted on the course.

 Costumes are encouraged: Prizes will be awarded for most inventive costumes, scariest costumes, group costumes, etc. Please note that costumes are not required but if you choose to wear one, they must be safe to walk/run in. Masks are prohibited. We want to be safe and have fun. Also, to the extent there will be many young children, please no costumes that are explicit/overly provocative.

 REGISTRATION We are taking registration online until October 18, 2014.  T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 500 registrants.  Thereafter, registrations can be done on site the morning of the fun run for $25 per adult and $15 per child. 

 Health and Participation Release:  By registering to participate in this event, you agree to hold the Township of Roxbury, Nixon Elementary School, Nixon Elementary School PTA as well as any sponsor harmless as to any claim for damages for any accident, injury or illness of any kind resulting in your participation in the Fun Run.  You further give medical personnel permission to treat any injuries should you be unable to make the decision for yourself.
