Description
Cochiti Lake is a beautiful backdrop to begin your Open Water Season, and acclimate to cold water races later in the year. The 1.1 Mile Loop will begin at Cochiti Swim Beach, and swim out towards the tower, 5ker's will swim 3 loops of the 1.1 Mile course.
In 2020 there will be 3 swimming events run as a series, you must swim in at least two swims to be considered for Overall Series Standings. Swim I will be designated with double the points, and will be considered the Wild Card, for all three events.
There is also an Open Water Swim Clinic available, if you simply want to gain more confidence, and knowledge on how to navigate your way through an open water event.
The estimated water temperatures will be between 55 and 65 degrees, the swim will be wetsuit mandatory unless you have the race directors prior approval, zoe@zoefitness.com
This is a USMS Sanctioned Event. A USMS Annual Membership or Day License is mandatory with a signed waiver to participate. The day pass to the park is included in the cost of your registration. Please arrive early to fill out waivers, an necessary paperwork.
