RTBX presents the THE BRONX KILL MILE on June 26th, 2022!
Get ready to race the BX like you've never raced it before! The 1 mile distance is known to set the lungs on fire and melt the rubber on your sneakers, and RTBX is hyped to bring a hell of a mile race to the home turf.
Just imagine it...a warm and humid Saturday night in the South Bronx. The backdrop is the East River, the sun hazily making its way to sleep. Hell's Gate Railroad stands 100ft above the Randalls Island connector, where you'll find runners from all over NYC warming up with strides in hopes of locking in that new mile PR. Music blaring to get the energy high. Teams from all over the city descending upon the most thorough borough in pursuit of crushing one of the most humbling races there is.
The heat rising.

Women's and Men's Elite Heat Times
Entrance into the Women's and Men's Elite Heats are based on times. All those interested are to submit a seed time with registration for a mile time that has been run within the last twelve months. Cutoff times for the Men's Heat will be 4:45 and Women's Heat will be 6:00.

Q: Are there medals for this race?
A: No medals will be given for this race, but we will be providing a giveaway!
Q: Are walkers allowed? Are Baby Strollers allowed?
A: Yes & Yes! Walkers and parents with strollers will be able to sign up for Family Mile.
Q: What If I can't make it? Can I get a refund?
A: There are no refunds for this race, but we are allowing bib transfers if you'd like for someone else to take your place.
Q: Will vaccination status be checked at the race?
A: Vaccination status will not be checked at the race, but upon signing up for the race, you agreed to follow CDC'S guidelines to help in the prevention of the spread of Covid-19. If you are feeling unwell, or have been in contact with someone who has Covid-19, we strongly urge you to stay home.
Q: Will there be bibs for this race? If so, when and where will we be able to get them?
A: Yes, there are bibs for this race. Bibs will be given out on race day.
Q: Will there be a bag check area?
A: Yes, we'll have a bag check area with volunteer staff monitoring your belongings.
Q: Will there be post race refreshments provided?
A: Yes, we'll have waters and fruit for registered runners and walkers.
Q: Can my friends/family cheer for me along the course?
A: Yes! Absolutely we'd love to see folks cheering along the course.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Animals and pets are allowed during the Family Mile.
