265 Racers as of 2/8/2021!
Starting December 2020, Oswegatchie will have a virtual challenge that begins in NYC at the Empire State Building and ends at our home in the Adirondacks! Covering 305 miles, you can run, walk, hop, skip, ski, bike, or hike your way to the finish line. You track your data and compete with your friends and other competitors.
Your registration fee will help Oswegatchie get through its toughest year of business in over 2 decades. The COVID pandemic stopped 80% of our 2020 business in a snap. Now as we enter 2021, your support will help us move into the new year.
No more registrations accepted after March 1st. The last day to enter your mileage is May 2nd, 2021. Each competitor will get a t-shirt shipped to their home after March 1st!
The 2 big questions are: How much does it cost and how do I track data?
1) Registration Fee is $43 + $3.56 run sign up registration fee. Your shirt cost is built into the fee.
2) You will go to your account that you set up in runsignup.com and enter your data daily. You can track you data however you want and from whatever activity you want.
For example, Jamie may only track his time when actual running, while Jon tracks all his steps while teaching. Jamie tracks his distance on a fancy watch and Jon uses his phone. Take the mileage recorded by either device and enter it manually. If you want to track distance based on different activities you can. If Robin walks 3 miles every morning and then skis 2 miles that night, she can track the data for both. She can enter it separately or combined.
Thank you for your patience as we figure this all out!

How to submit your miles on a runsgnup.com race event.
The Oswegatchie Educational Center is using the route for the Adirondack's hardest race, "The Adirondack Trail Ride" for its newest virtual challenge. Oswegatchie is a summer camp in Croghan, NY that is on the #TATR route. We run an inexpensive camp that brings in campers from all over NY. In COVID, we had to cancel 80% of our yearly business. We pivoted to do other services such as virtual challenges. After a successful first challenge, "The NYC to Oswegatchie", we wanted a bigger challenge for the warmer seasons. We appreciate your financial support in participating in this event.
If you are willing to take on the virtual version of this event, you will need to walk, run, paddle, or pedal your way over 585+ miles. You have from April 3rd till December 31st to clock those miles! Our virtual Grand Departure April 3rd, 2021
Thank you in Advance for your Support! #TATR
