ALERT

Due to unresolved issues between the NYC Parks and the Boathouse owners, the Boathouse and boats are out of service at this time. We are not able to use the boats for relays. We will proceed with the duathlon portion of the race —> RUN, BIKE, AND RUN. You can relegate your disciplines.

The event takes place near the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park, NY. You can review the location of the transition and check-in area either in Apple Maps or Google Maps.

Additional Race Information

As much as we would like to have a row boat relay race on 5/6, we couldn’t secure a guarantee that the boat dock would be open for operation. Instead, we would have a run relay race on the second run.  Participants registered for the relay race would be running as a team for the final time of their entire race.
The race starts and finishes by the Central Park Boat House parking lot. Both Run #1 and #2 is 2.2 miles each, in out/back format. You run along the east side and making a turn around point by the 96th street. No significant elevation gain other than at the beginning you have to run up the Cat's Paw hill.
The bike route consists of riding 2 loops around the entire Central Park drive. As a result of the current construction in the Harlem section of the park, Harlem Hill, we are skipping it. Instead, riders would loop around and to the west side through the 102nd street Traverse. Effectively, you are riding 5 miles per loop, 10 miles in total. The total elevation gain is about 250ft per loop. Is still a challenging route for most athletes.
