We are BACK at it, INSPIRING you with the NEXT VIRTUAL RACE! And this time... it’s going to be totally different. In addition to posting your times, when the race concludes and the window to log all recorded times closes, AWARDS will be presented! This is as close as we can get to creating an actual race with social distancing.
The VIRTUAL RACE is OPEN to everyone! If you don't live on Long Island, you can still race by doing your distance anywhere. We suggest a FLAT as a PANCAKE course! Live on the Island? Then you have an “awesome” opportunity to do this course utilizing the actual beaches & bike paths this race is inspired by. Take a quick tour of our virtual course maps to chart your course! We have two race distances to choose from and a variety of ways you can accomplish them:
The race can be done anytime between Saturday August 15th thru to Wednesday September 30th. You do not need to do all three disciplines on one day, you can log your results for each leg individually over the duration of the race. In order to be eligible for awards, each leg must be completed in one continuous activity. For example, the 15 mile run for needs to be logged in one session and NOT as 3 different 5 mile runs). All athletes receive a t-shirt, finisher’s medal and additional SWAG. Finishing the distance/race is on the honor system. Those who want to be eligible for the Overall & Age Group Awards must post/upload their files.
SWEET Finisher Medal!
