Start the New Year right - with a Half-Marathon!
The Sri Chinmoy New Year's Day Half-Marathon features a scenic, flat and fast loop around historic Flushing Meadows Corona Park. 4 loops = Half-Marathon. 9AM start.
All runners will be required to wear a mask in the start area, and when at (or in line for) the number pickup, bag check, etc. Masks are not required at other times, including during the race.
If there are new restrictions imposed before the event, we will post them here and notify runners via email.

Hot pancakes are even more enjoyable when they’re earned, and we’re cooking them up fresh for everyone on race day!
All participants are allowed a maximum of 2 hours 45 minutes to complete the race, which is a maximum pace of 13 min / mile. Universal cutoff for all runners is 11:45 AM, regardless of wave start time.
Participants must be 16 years or older as of race-day to compete.

We live in uncertain times. Our event plan and permit have been approved by the NYC Parks Department, and while we expect this race to take place as planned, if we are forced to cancel due to new or modified COVID-19 regulations/restrictions imposed by park officials, city or state governments, the race will be converted to a virtual event. Registered participants will still receive race shirts and finisher medals in the mail upon completion of the race, and trophies will be mailed to winners as per the awards breakdown above.
