Rochester Half Marathon | 5K | Kids 1/2 Mile

The Rochester Half Marathon & 5K is a sight to see.  The Half Marathon starting at Maplewood Park heading north to Charlotte via the beautiful Turning Point Trail along the Genesee River towards the O'Rorke Bridge overlooking Lake Ontario and the majesticness of the harbor.  Heading south along the festive neighborhoods of Irondequoit then towards Seneca Park Zoo with another fantastic bridge overlook.  Continue south along the Genesee River through historic Maplewood Park then towards the lower falls over the RGE Bridge to the final stretch of the High Falls District toward the final energy filled finish line stretch in front of Innovative Field - Home of the Red Wings.

The 5K follows along the final 3.1 miles the half marathon so 5Kers can also experience the final two bridges and fall overlooks finishing at Innovative Field.  The kids race starts right in the heart of High Falls Industrial District where once upon a time the Flower City utilized the falls and the river to help build Rochester.  Kids too get to experience the same robust finish line as the other two races.

• Winter Warrior Half Marathon on Saturday, January 6th
• Flower City Challenge Half Marathon on Sunday, April 28th
• Shoreline Half Marathon on Saturday, July 20th
• Rochester Half Marathon on Sunday, September 15th
• Ideally all races should be In Person, but if you need to do Virtual that is fine. I mean is Winter Warrior in Florida fair? :)

The 2024 5Kish Version will include

• Winter Warrior Quarter Marathon on Saturday, January 6th - this is where the (5Kish) comes in
• Flower City Challenge 5K on Sunday, April 28th
• Shoreline 5K on Saturday, July 20th
• Rochester 5K on Sunday, September 15th
• Ideally all races should be In Person, but if you need to do Virtual that is fine. I mean is Winter Warrior in Florida fair? :)

Kids 1/2 Mile
Creating Rochester Runners!
There is a Virtual Kids 1/2 Mile available

Race time is at 10:30 am on Sunday, September 15th at the corner of Furnace & Browns Race by High Falls/Pont de Renne Bridge. 

This is a point to point race, Walking to the start line will be required.  It's less than a 1/2 mile from finish.  Give yourself 15-20 minutes to get to the start line.  We will have escorts available at specific times to walk the participant from Innovative Field to the Kids 1/2 Mile Start.  You'll be able to cheer on 1/2 Marathon athletes as you walk to the start. . The kids will finish under the big arch where everyone else finishes. The Kids 1/2 Mile will get their own specific finishers medal. Must register to participate.
