benefiting Saratoga Racehorse Aftercare Charitable Endeavors 

R.A.C.E is a non-profit organization made up four local Thoroughbred rescues. Their goal is to raise awareness of & support racehorse aftercare programs. The average age of a retired racehorse is 5 years old, but many will live another 20-25 years. R.A.C.E offers a valuable second career/life for many horses who are unable to continue competing on the racecourse.  Join us in supporting this organization & its mission. Please consider donating!

Our Certified 5k course begins at the Orenda Pavilion and will wind its way throughout the beautiful Saratoga State Park. Runners, walkers, and canine companions are all welcome. Come meet retired race horses & police horses!

Prizes for top finishers, including canine companions!* All 5k registrants receive a free t-shirt.

*dogs do not have to pre-register, but we ask owners to be mindful of the heat on race day. We reserve the right to cancel the canine division due to weather conditions. 

Parking Free parking is available in the SPAC East lot off Route 50. Signs & volunteers will guide you to the far back (southeast) corner of the lot. Registration, start/finish, & kids Fun Run is a very short walk from this location. There will be NO PARKING at the Orenda Pavilion itself (it interferes with the course and creates a safety hazard)
