About Ellen's Run
Breast cancer does not stop while Covid-19 exists, and neither will we!

Join us virtually for the The 25th Annual Ellen’s Run and support the race to beat breast cancer by running or walking 3.1 miles anytime, anywhere.

Now in its 25th year, Ellen’s Run is the signature fundraising event of The Ellen Hermanson Foundation. Voted Best Sporting Event for the last eight years by Dan’s Papers: Best of the Best, Ellen’s Run is a grassroots summer tradition and a highly visible event that raises funds and awareness about breast cancer. This year the 5K run/walk will go on virtually in neighborhoods throughout our community on the East End of Long Island -- and beyond. Runners can post their results beginning Sunday, August 16 through Monday, August 31, 2020. Top performers and fundraisers will be announced.

About the Ellen Hermanson Foundation — Over the course of twenty five years, The Ellen Hermanson Foundation has changed the medical landscape of the East End, where breast cancer diagnosis and mortality rates are among the highest in New York state. With a deep commitment to the community, the Foundation gives back by funding state-of-the-art medical equipment and breast cancer screenings at The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and locations in Hampton Bays and East Hampton. Proceeds also benefit Ellen’s Well, a free psycho-social services program that provides support groups, reiki and other healing opportunities for breast cancer survivors. No one is turned away from the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center for lack of insurance or inability to pay.

The Ellen Hermanson Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to ensure access to state-of-the art breast health care and to empower people affected by cancer.

Tap into your extended network and come together as a virtual team to fundraise in support of Ellen's Run.

Breast cancer does not stop while Covid-19 exists, and neither will we.  The more you raise, the more we can do!

This is what a gift can do:

  • $25 — Supply safe transportation for patient treatment
  • $50 — Gather a virtual support group
  • $120 — Provide a mammogram
  • $500 — Donate an MRI
  • $1000+ — Provide advanced technology services

Run, walk, donate, or sponsor a runner. Organize a virtual team, bring your family, or go solo!

Share your Ellen's Run race pics!  #EllensRun25 or #EllensRun25Survivor

An Ellen’s Run sponsorship will build brand awareness across multiple platforms, while making a tremendous difference in the community we serve. Your financial support of The Ellen Hermanson Foundation will help provide access to breast cancer screenings, especially for the uninsured, and free psycho-social support services for patients and their families. No patient is turned away from the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center for lack of insurance or inability to pay for treatment.
