What is the Bridge Run Training Challenge?

The Bridge Run Virtual Challenge is a personal quest - you against the miles ahead of you. You are on the honor system to track and record your activities. Only miles accumulated from direct physical activity intended for the challenge should count.  All registrants will be automatically enrolled in the Challenge. This unique fitness training software lets you challenge yourself, friends and family and earn virtual milestone trophies no matter how you train. As you get ready for the May event, run, walk, ride, swim, dance – whatever moves you! After you register for this event, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a log in to the Virtual Challenge and start training!

Do I have to complete a certain number of miles each day, or can I break it up and run more on the weekends?

You can run, walk, bike or exercise as much or as little as you want on a given day. You'll have to finish your mileage before May 16, 2021.  The results site will turn off on this date. We've set the goal at 26.22 miles (a marathon) to be completed 4.37 miles at a time. There's also some additional fun "get moving" badges to earn.

Do I have to run the whole way?

No. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track. If you are cycling the challenge you can do your miles outside on your bicycle, or inside on your stationary bike or elliptical machine. You can even substitute 20 minutes of cardio activity for 1 mile.  You get to complete your own race, at your own pace, and track it yourself.  You can mix your miles between any of the activities.

What happens when I finish the Challenge?

You can be done, or if you want to keep going, KEEP GOING!  You can tally activities and miles past the goal.  We will have milestone badges set up for your goal distance as well for those who are a bit more ambitious and do more. 

What is My Trophy Case?

On your personal results page you will see a link to your Trophy Case.  This is where your milestone badges will appear.  You can earn badges for various things along your journey.  Distance covered, activities completed and other fun benchmarks along the way.  See if you can earn them all!
