The Police K-9 Association is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and charitable organization responsible for training and assisting 60 active and retired K-9 teams between 20 departments. As the need for K-9's continues to grow, so does our organization's responsibility to support these K-9 teams. There are significant costs in starting and maintaining a prosperous K-9 program. City and county financial budgets often limit needed funding for K-9's. The PK9A assists agencies by offsetting the cost of education, training, equipment, and the medical needs of both active and retired K-9's.

This is a dog friendly event! To be sure everyone has a great time, there are a few rules to keep everyone safe and happy:

  1. Any dog attending the event in person must be registered. After you begin your registration, you will have a selection to add on your dog registration.
  2. All well behaved dogs are welcome and must be leashed with a maximum 6' lead.
  3. NO retractable leashes.
  4. The majority of dogs do NOT have the capacity to RUN a 5K. Participants are strongly encouraged to WALK with their dog. Participants should research "How to Detect Heat Exhaustion in Dogs" before attending the event.
  5. Waste bags are the responsibility of pet owners. Please immediately clean up after your dog.
  6. Dogs must be current on rabies vaccinations.
  7. A water station will be located at the venue.
  8. Event organizers reserve the right to eject any aggressive, or obviously ill dog.
  9. Participants assume full responsibility and liability for their dog.
