Description

Come join the fun and run a half or quarter marathon on the Towpath Trail along the Maumee River. Both courses start at beautiful Providence Metropark across the river from Grand Rapids, OH. You'll head out on the historic canal towpath and then return to the finish at the beautiful Providence Dam and Shelter. The towpath is crushed gravel and dirt with lots of shade. You'll enjoy scenic views of the river and run past the historic canal locks and grain mill at the park. You can hang around by the dam at the Shelter after the race and then visit quaint Grand Rapids.

PACKET PICK-UP: Packet pick-up will only be at Second Sole running store in Levis Commons Shopping Center in Perrysburg, OH (4130 Levis Commons Blvd, Perrysburg, OH 43551) on Friday July 22 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. and Saturday July 23 from noon-5:00 p.m. THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP OR RACE DAY REGISTRATION. Registration must be received by Wednesday July 13 to guarantee a shirt in your requested size.

The Where's the Dam Half and Quarter Marathon is one of three trail race events in the Toledo Roadrunners Club Trail Race Series in partnership with Metroparks Toledo and sponsored by Second Sole. Other races include the Oak Openings Stampede 5K, 25K, and 50K races at Oak Openings Metropark on September 18 and Falling Leaves 5K and 8-mile races at Secor Metropark on October 23. Registration for these events are available on RunSignUp. Proceeds from the events benefit SewHope, a non-profit that serves the poor in Guatemala (www.sewhope.org).
