Pies for the Prize Trail 5k & 10k for the Youth Leadership Association

Join us June 11th for our 2nd Annual Pies for the Prize Trail Run/Walk to benefit to Ohio-West Virginia Youth Leadership Association (YLA). The YLA helps youth across the region develop strong leadership skills; teaching them about government, civic engagement, and community service by engaging them in programs like Youth in Government, Model United Nations, and Leadership and Entrepreneurship camps.

We are offering 5k and 10k distances.

5k: $25

10k: $35

Registration includes race entry, a t-shirt, post-race meal, entry to bid in pie-auction, and a discounted rate for our overnight camping.

Walkers are welcome for any distance. We encourage teams to participate and will be offering individual awards to our 5k walkers.

1st place overall Male/Female for the 5k race and 10k race will receive a homemade pie made by one of our generous donors in addition to an award.

1st place age group Male/Female will be awarded across the following age ranges: 12&under ("Future Leaders"), 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, Masters 50+

As part of your entry fee, The YLA is hosting an outdoor lunch for all runners/walkers followed by a pie auction at the completion of the race.  For those spending the day with us watching the races and taking in the beauty Cave Lake has to offer, for a $10 donation you are also invited to join us for the delicious meal and bid on your favorite type of pie.  Everyone is encouraged to stay, relax, enjoy the meal and get to know the YLA staff and students.  The YLA programs change the lives of youth across Ohio and West Virginia for the better.  We hope you will come out to support YLA's youth!

Our event is being held at Cave Lake Campground in Latham Ohio, a 750 acre state gem of a property that is home to the YLA's Cave Lake Leadership Conference Center.

There are camping sites available for our participants. We have RV hookups, tent sites, and cabinettes available for reservation.

We encourage you to bring your family, stay the night, enjoy the beautiful trails surrounding the lake, join us for home cooking, fellowship and Pies for the Prize!
