Description

ANYONE can participate. The bountiful gifts race has evolved. The new date of the race is Sept. 22nd, 2018. The new location is Canal Fulton, Heritage Park. The new time is 9 am. The new distances are 5 miles and 10 miles on a circular course over the Erie canal towpath and back on the Muskingham trail. Parking will be at the start/ finish of the race. We hope these changes will allow for more community participation as well as a much better race experience. Everyone receives a finishers medal.

This race is still very very walker friendly - Walkers as defined below - will have awards for top 3 male and female of each distance as well as every 10 year age group awards starting at age 10. There is a minimum time of 18 min per mile for those doing the 10 mile course. The five mile course has no minimum. Everyone receives a finishers medal.

Runners will receive awards as top 3 male and female runners in each distance. Everyone receives a finishers medal.

Water stops will be every 2 miles with more if the weather determines a need. Food is plentiful at the end of the race. Everyone receives a finishers medal. Packet pickup is on race morning at the starting line.


Walkers are individuals who advance using a straight knee. (please see pictures below) There will be spotters along the course for any individual who is running or slogging.. (sloppy jogging). Anyone caught running or jogging will be removed from all awards.
