Description
New Date! New Distances! New Course!
On the private trails of Camp Manatoc, runners and hikers embark on a 5k loop course, aiming to complete 25k, 50k, 50 miles, or even 100k! The camp's topography offers a mix of natural elements on well maintained, non-technical trails. The unique course provides a diverse and scenic journey, winding through lush woodlands surrounded by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
The race offers a fully stocked aid station at the completion of each loop. Participants may also set up their own rest/aid area with plenty of room for spectating crew, family, and friends – all are welcome!
Sign up for your goal distance, and you will be credited for the distance you complete and eligible for awards. All 25k/50k/50m finishers earn a medal, and 100k finishers take home a buckle. This Memorial Day weekend race is a great warmup to dial in your gear, hydration, and nutrition for the Burning River Endurance Run & Relay!
Course
Other than a road crossing or two, the course is 100% trails – from wide open trail to twisting and turning single track, and some challenging hills of course! Click here to view the Fools 5k Course Map Loop (167 ft gain)

Endurance Athletes of the Year
Participate in 4 events to qualify and have a chance to be an Ohio Endurance Athlete of the Year! Qualifiers receive a trading card with your photo and Ohio Endurance Series race stats. Awards will be given for the Top 5 Overall, Top 1 Masters, Top 1 Grand Master.

Race Day Details
- START TIMES
- 100k/50M – 6:00 A.M. (18 hour cutoff)
- 25k/50k – 8:00 A.M. (16 hour cutoff)
- Course closes at midnight.
- Flexible start time – start whenever you want. We just ask that 25k/50k participants wait until at least 8:00 A.M.
- AID STATIONS
- We will have open areas where participants can set up their own rest/aid area. Participants are encouraged to carry water.
- One aid station located near the start/finish will serve the following:
- Hydration: Water, Tailwind, Coke, ginger ale, sno-cones
- Salty snacks: Pickles, pretzel nuggets with peanut butter, Cheez-Its, dry roasted peanuts
- Sweet snacks: Fig Newtons, M&Ms, Nutty Buddies, Payday candy bars, gummy bears, dried cherries, pineapple chunks
- Food: Sloppy Joes, mashed potatoes, PB&J sandwiches, Nutella sandwiches
