Save Your Pumpkins 5K Run/Walk (Draft)

You probably know someone in your circle that has been affected by breast cancer, whether you knew it or not. Breast cancer is the most common reportable cancer among women in Ohio, regardless of race. Join us on October 9 to "Save Your Pumpkins" with a 5K run or walk through downtown Sandusky, Ohio. The North Coast Healthcare Collaborative has teamed up to raise awareness about breast cancer, and support each organization’s foundation. The collaborative consists of four area health systems: The Bellevue Hospital, Firelands Health, Fisher-Titus, and Magruder Hospital.

Benefitting Patients in Your Community
All proceeds will benefit foundations at each of the North Coast Healthcare Collaborative health systems. Funds will be used for patient support, breakthrough equipment, and research to prevent, diagnose and cure breast cancer. Donations are also encouraged from friends and family who will not be participating in the race.

When: Saturday, October 9 at 9:00 am
Where: Battery Park, 701 E. Water Street, Sandusky, OH 44870
Pre-registration cost: $20 (register by September 26 to receive a shirt)
Day-of registration cost: $25

Packet Pick-up:
Friday, October 8 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at North Shore Running Store located at 178 E. Market Street, Sandusky, OH 44870
Saturday, October 9 (Race Day), 7:30 am - 8:45 am at Battery Park Marina

Awards: The top three in each age group will receive medals. Age Groups: 12 and under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+. Runners / walkers must participate in the in-person event to qualify.

Giveaways: 
All registrants will be entered into a raffle to win additional prizes! 

**We are actively monitoring the incidence of COVID-19 in our region. Due to the concern for the safety of our guests, the event date is subject to change or cancellation. If the event date is changed, the registration fee shall be applied to the new event date. If this event is cancelled, the registration fee will not be refunded.
