Celebrate time travel as we celebrate Back To The Future and the Space Program from the 1969 Moon Landing to Present Day to Back to the Moon in 2025!
This 5K race is very cool and will have several vintage DeLoreans at the DeLorean Cruise In from 8:30am to 1pm. Go Back In Time with these iconic cars!
The premium pricing of this event will reward participants with a high quality QUARTER ZIP LONG SLEEVE Running Shirt. aal finishers receive the special finishers medal.

Your registration fee also includes FREE ADMISSION to the WAPA THEATER Showing "Back To The Future" at 11AM. Sit in the same seats where Neil Armstrong watched movies as a teenager.
MOON CHALLENGE SERIES:
Register for the Moon Series and receive the extra MOON CHALLENGE Medal for in all 3 races! This includes Fly Me To The Moon (June 24th), Run to the Moon (July 22nd) and Back to the Future 1969 (August 26th) NOTE: You must register for the series in order to receive the 4th medal. Registering for each race individually does not guarantee participants the 4th medal. If you have registered for first 1 or 2 races individually, you can sign up for the 2nd or 3rd race > when you check out, it will ask you if you want to add on "The Challenge Series." Click the Add On to ensure your 4th Medal.
* VIRTUAL: If you cannot make one or all of the races for the "In-Person" events, you have the option to participate virtually for one, two or all of them and still receive the Challenge Medal!
* The Moon Challenge Medal will be awarded at the 3rd race in the series.

Moon Series Challenge
Runners that participated in all three events (Fly Me To The Moon, Run To The Moon, Back To The Future) get the Moon Series Challenge Medal, if you registered for the Moon Series Challenge. If you registered for each event separately they you need to add the Moon Series Challenge Medal during the check out process.
Virtual Run
How a Virtual Run Works:
If you have a conflict with the race date or feel more comfortable not running at the actual race, or if we must switch the actual race to a virtual race due to government directives or health concerns you can still get all of the great race bling. You will pick up your materials at the regular packet pickup locations. We will notify you of these dates.
Complete your run/walk anytime after the pick up dates, as convenient for you. This can be outside, or on a treadmill
We will keep all race participants informed through email, and updates on this webpage. Thank you for your support during these challenging times.
Please understand that our no refund policy remains in effect. We have already spent money to purchase items such as medals, and other services which cannot possibly be absorbed by the event. We thank you for your support and understanding during this public health emergency.
FAQs
Q: Can I change my event?
A: Yes. If you signed up for the actual race and now can't make it, that's ok. You can Transfer for free to the Virtual Run. Find your registration confirmation email (search "RUNSIGNUP") and go to Manage Registration. From the webpage you land on look at the bottom area and Transfer Event. Then you can do the switch you want at no charge. If you are not coming to packet pickup and want us to mail your race goodies, then you must purchase Shipping & Handling.
Q: When is packet pick up?
A: On Friday from 5-7pm PM at Riverside Art Center, 2 Willipie St. Wapakoneta. Race Day packet pick up is HIGHLY DISCOURAGED because we have limited volunteers and everyone always is a bit too stressed waiting in line before the race, so the Race Day packet pickup we offer will start at 7:30 AM. The race will start on time at 9:30 AM.
Friends or family members may pick up your packet for you if they have your confirmation information.
Q: When is the Movie Back to the Future playing for the runners?
A: The movie will play for the runners right after the Race at 11:00am The movie will be at the WAPA Theater near the starting line on 15 Willipie St.
Q: Where will the DeLorean Cars be staged for the car show
A: The DeLorean Cars will be displayed on Willipie Street right outside of the Movie Theater from 8:00am - 1:00pm on race day. Come and enjoy these amazing cars that take you Back to the Future with 1.21 Gigawatts of power!
Q: For Virtual Runners that paid for shipping when are the packets mailed?
A: We receive the vests and medals during race week, and our volunteers assemble the packets on Thursday and Friday so we can ship out beginning on Monday after the race.
Q: What is the plan in case of inclement weather?
A: On race day, if thunderstorms and lightning are present the event will be delayed up to 2 hours. In the case of a lengthy delay, we will switch everyone to Virtual and you may run when it is safer to do so.
Q; I have a medical condition and I am in a high risk group that is susceptible to infection. May I come to the race?
A: No. If you have a medical condition please take advantage of our Virtual race option so you are not exposed to hundreds of other runners.
Q: How will we get our medals?
A: Runners at the actual race: Medals will be handed out at the finish line. If you completed the Moon Challenge, those medals will also be available for you at the finish line. If you are a Virtual Runner your medals will be included in your race packet.
Q: Are there age group awards?
A: No
