Description
The Monster Dash 5k for a Cure Fun Run and Walk benefits the American Cancer Society and Relay For Life of Lake County. This is a fun family-friendly event and all participants are encouraged to dress in non-scary costumes. A 1mile fun lap will also be available for families and participants of all ages to walk or run while the kids trick-or-treat. After the race, participants are treated to a post-race party with food, a DJ, prizes and more!
ABOUT THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY The American Cancer Society is the only nationwide, community based, voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
RACE DETAILS
Date: Sunday, October 17th, 2021
Location: Lake Metroparks Penitentiary Glen Shelter | 8668 Kirtland Chardon Rd, Willoughby, OH 44094
Schedule: Registration for 5k begins at 9am, race begins at 10am. Registration for 1mile Fun Lap will begin at 9:30am, lap begins at 10:15am.
Timing: This year's race will be professionally timed by Stasny Road Racing (https://www.stasnyroadracing.com/upcoming-races). All runners will receive bibs with chips, and can get live results on-site at the end of the race.
Give-Aways/Awards: All 5k participants signed up before Friday, October 3rd will receive a finisher medal. Awards will be given for overall top male and female as well as top runner in each age group.
Registration Fees: Pre-registration fee for 5K is $25, and accepted until Saturday, October 16th. Day of race registration fee will be $30, but participants will not be guaranteed a medal. Registration fee for the 1mi trick-or-treat lap is $10 per family. Per family basis consists of 2 adults and 2 kids under 12yrs old. Registration for the 1mi fun run/walk is per individual over the age of 12yrs old.
