The Verdigris High School Soccer Booster Club is hosting the 7th annual “Give-N-Glow” 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, April 22, 2017 to help raise funds for the high school soccer teams.
This event is to provide financial support to the coaches and players, beyond the scope of the school-provided budget.
The sanctioned “Give-N-Glow” 5K run/walk is timed by Tatur Racing. It will begin at the Verdigris High School football field. Runners will begin on the track and wind through a nearby neighborhood.
The run is on a well-marked course, and we have safety workers along the course to direct traffic and runners. This is the forth year for the run to be an after-dark glow run. Everyone brings glow items, and some are provided. The run is also really fun to watch,” said Freeman.
The 5K online registrations, mail-in registrations or Friday pre-registrations are $25. Race-day registrations are $30. The Fun Run is $15 and is not timed.
The ‘Give-n-Glow’ 5K run or walk event is really a one of a kind night experience. It is less about how fast you run, and more about enjoying the music-infused send-off.
We encourage participants of all speeds, ages, shapes and sizes to come ready to glow.
Food and drinks will be available at the event. Prizes will be awarded after the races.

Packet Pick Up Information
Friday, April 21 pre-registration and packet pick-up is from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Race-day registration begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday. The Fun Run will begin at 7:30 p.m. The 5K musical send-off begins at 8:15 p.m. and the official 5K run/walk begins at 8:40 p.m.
