Description
What Is the Fluorescent Fun Run/5K?
The Fluorescent Fun Run/5K event is a night time experience that is less about how fast you run and more about enjoying the evening with your friends and family. For this event, we want to see participants of all different speeds, ages, shapes, and sizes ready to light up the night. So whether you are a casual walker or an avid runner the Fluorescent Fun Run/5K invites you to come be a part of the fun.
What Is the Super Hero Edition?
This year's theme is Super Hero so come dressed as your FAVORITE Super Hero! Prizes will be awarded for Best Super Hero costume, Most Creative Super Hero costume, and Best Super Hero Group costume. Don't miss the fun family festival with plenty of activities for the kids too. Test your speed, strength and agility to see if you are a true Super Hero! Face painting, temporary tattoos, balloon artist and more will be offered.
The Course
3.1 miles of glowing fun featuring multiple black light zones, as well as lots of runners decked out in glow gear. The Fluorescent Fun Run/5K will also feature a DJ playing music to keep you motivated.
Participants
All runners and walkers participating in the Fluorescent Fun Run/5K will receive the following items: T-shirt and Glow items.

What Is the Purpose?
The Fluorescent Fun Run/5K is being held in memory of Kelli LeFlore Erwin to benefit the Kelli LeFlore Erwin Memorial Scholarship Fund. Team Kelli was formed as a support for Kelli and her family. She battled cancer for almost four years. She lost her fight on April 18, 2013. She was only forty-one. She left behind a loving husband, daughter, many family members, and countless friends.
She touched numerous lives and her graduating class at Kingston High School, the Class of ’89, set up a scholarship in her memory. The mission of the Kelli LeFlore Erwin Memorial Fund is to give a female KHS graduate/alumni member the opportunity to develop their greatest potential of friendship, kindness, leadership skills, confidence, as well as their education through college scholarships and other charitable activities. These were qualities Kelli embodied while she was alive and we plan on presenting this scholarship each year in her honor. Proceeds from the Fluorescent Fun Run/5K will go toward the Kelli LeFlore Erwin Memorial Scholarship Fund.
