It is Runtoberfest time! Join Red Coyote for our annual Runtoberfest tradition! There will be running, beer, awesome race medals, and best post race party in OKC! The RUNTOBERFEST 5K is brought to you by Red Coyote, COOP Aleworks, Brooks Running, and Fassler Hall. Runtoberfest will be a beautiful 5K/3.1 mile course that winds through Heritage Hills and starts and finishes in front of Fassler Hall! The party continues after the race with Coop Aleworks Beer, root beer for kiddos, giveaways and music. You do not want to miss this awesome event with fun for the entire family!

RACE GOODIES All participants will receive a Runtoberfest Race Shirt or Tank (must sign up by 10/11/19 to be guaranteed tee) or a $10 Red Coyote Gift Card. All finishers will receive a limited edition race medal, and a free COOP Aleworks 16oz. BEER! For the non-drinkers and those under 21 we will we will have root beer and water! We are pleased to announce that optional race insurance is available during the registration process made available by AGA. Should you need to file a claim you can refer to https://help.runsignup.com/support/solutions/articles/17000073422-claiming-event-insurance for information on how to proceed. Race insurance is offered by a third party and Red Coyote Running & Fitness has no oversight or ability to manage or intervene with claims.
Red Coyote is very excited to return to live racing but we need your help to ensure the success of our events. In cooperation with local ordinances and for the safety of our staff and volunteers, this race will implement the following special race modifications:
If you have a fever of 100.4 F or more, you should not attend the race. Any participants who cannot participate will be offered a refund of their entry fee. Contact the race director if you are sick with a fever and will not be able to race. Also, volunteers should not attend if they have a fever of 100.4 F or more. The temperature of all volunteers and Red Coyote staff will be taken upon arrival at the race site.
At all times be aware of others and please maintain social distancing of at least 6’.
Red Coyote REQUIRES that all racers bring a face covering to wear when they are in close contact with each other or race staff and volunteers before and after the race. We REQUIRE wearing a face covering before the start of each wave, that can be removed while running/walking. While on the course attempt to maintain 6 feet of separation from other runners. After you finish the race, you should wear a face covering whenever you cannot maintain 6’ of social distance from others. Please use good judgment in gathering socially or for photos.
Portable restrooms will be will be on site. Please remain socially distanced while waiting in line for the restroom. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
The event will use a WAVE START system and scoring will be done on chip times. Runners should line up in one of three available waves for each distance based on your expected finish time – start the race as follows:
5K Wave 1 – 3:00 PM (finish time under 30 minutes)
5K Wave 2 – 3:03 PM (finish time 30-50 minutes)
5K Wave 3 – 3:06 PM (finish time greater than 50 minutes)
When lining up in the starting coral please remain socially distanced from others. Family groups can be more closely spaced together, but you should maintain 6’ of separation from other races who are not in your current family/social circle.
