This is series of workshops to learn about a variety of running and performance related topics including: nutrition, psychological side of training and racing, running mechanics, injury & injury prevention, and running shoes. These workshops will be fun, interactive, and educational and you will leave knowing things that will help your running and training. It will be a series of 8 workshops, but it is not necessary to attend all of them. Although we encourage you to attend as many as you can, you will get a lot out of even just coming to a couple. Along with registration for the workshops, we will also include one of three running performance related books for those who sign up for Run School.

Course Outline (subject to slight changes)
Week 1: July 10th: How bad do you want it? The psychological side of training, competing, & goal setting.
Week 2: July 17th: How to fuel your engine: Nutritional strategies to optimize training adaptations and racing performance.
Week 3: July 24th: There’s a method to our madness: Physiology of VO2max, lactate threshold, and writing training programs.
Week 4: July 31st: Run like the Ducklings: Running mechanics & common deviations from optimal gait.
Week 5: Aug 7th: The up, down, & dirty: Trail & hill running techniques & mechanics.
Week 6: Aug 14th: Bent not broken: Ask the experts! Common running injury panel & workshop.
Week 7: Aug 21st: We’re not just runners, we’re athletes: Stability, balance, & coordination for performance & injury prevention.
Week 8: Aug 28th: With brains in your head & feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself any direction you choose: The history, language, & science of running shoes.
