Description

Online registration is now closed but day of race registration is available the morning of the race. Please arrive early if you are registering day of race.

Course Description

Experience a unique combination of history, nature, and recreation on a 10K Champoeg Park course through forests, fields, and wetlands. 30K entrants complete three 10K loops. Half marathoners complete two loops and an extension for remaining distance. The marathon relay is a four-person marathon relay. Each person on your marathon relay team runs 1/4 of a marathon distance - or one loop of the half marathon loop.

  • Bib pickup begins at 7:00 AM
  • Marathon Relay, Half Marathon and 30K (Run and Walk) 8:00 AM
  • 10K Walk 8:30 AM
  • 10K Run 9:30 AM
  • Kid's Run 10:30 AM
  • Course closes: 1:00 PM

Day of Race Registration

Registration is available Day of Race (check, cash, or credit card accepted). Please arrive early if you wish to register at the event. $10 price increase for day of event registration. No ORRC member discount for day of race registration.

Please note: If you register on Thursday February 28, your bib cannot be picked up until the morning of the race. Your bib will not be at the early packet pickup.

Parking

There is a $5 per vehicle parking charge at Champoeg State Park which is collected at the main gate for non-volunteers and non-carpool cars. Carpools and volunteers have parking paid by ORRC.

2019 Awards, Swag, and Raffle

Award plaques will be presented to the overall winners and master winners of 30K, Half Marathon and 10K. Award ribbons will be presented to age group winners three deep. Awards will also be presented for the Marathon Relay in the following categories:

  • First Place Women's team (all four participants are women)
  • First Place Men's team (all four participants are men)
  • First Place Mixed team (any combo of women and men)

All finishers for 10K, Half Marathon, 30K, and Marathon Relay will receive ORRC event medals and a Champoeg event shirt.

All runners and walkers are entered into a raffle for their separate event, with winners' bib numbers will be posted after the start of each race. In addition, separate raffle prizes for 10K series finishers will also be posted.

2019 RRCA Western Region Half Marathon Championship

Our 2019 Champoeg Half Marathon Run has been chosen for the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) Western Region championship. The Championship medals will be presented to top overall, master (40+), grandmaster (50+), and senior grandmaster (60+) male and female winners.

We're also proud to say that the 10K and 30K events at Champoeg are the RRCA State of Oregon Championships for those events. The Championship medals will be presented to top overall, master (40+), grandmaster (50+), and senior grandmaster (60+) male and female winners.

Champoeg 30K - USA Track and Field Sanctioned Event

This year's 30K event is USA Track and Field sanctioned which means that it is eligible for national records. We have a person coming that's trying for an age group national record in the 30K distance.

Aid Stations

An aid station featuring water, replenishment, fruit and goodies will be located at 1.5 mile and 5.75 mile of the 10K loop. These locations cover half marathon and marathon relay runners as well.

After Race Treats

Post-race event will be held under the pavilion. We will be serving the following:

  • Choice of three hearty soups and bread (including vegetarian and vegan soup options)
  • Replenishment drinks - Water and soda
  • An assortment of fruits and mixed nuts
  • Franz bagels plus cream cheese, Nutella, jam

The Course

The course is basically flat on roadway, bike/pedestrian paths, with some gravel and rollers. 10K is one loop of the course. 30K is three loops of the course. Half marathon is two loops of the half marathon course. Marathon relay is two times of the half marathon course, or four loops in total.

Early Packet Pickup

Early bib pickup will be from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 28th at the ORRC office location - 4840 SW Western Ave. in Beaverton - not far off Highway 217. Come into the office doors (NE side of building) to find your bib and shirt. Note that only registrants as of midnight Wednesday February 27th will have their bibs prepared for pickup at this time.

In addition to the rules linked above, participants may not wear headphones. No dogs or strollers are allowed for this event due to narrow trail widths.
