Hoofin' It Annual Walk Trot Run - 5K/10K

You run/walk/participate so children can ride therapeutic horses….

Come join us for one of Love Reins Ranch’s most cherished community events, Hoofin’ It 5K/10K! This fun and festive event promotes outdoor recreation for people of all levels and physical abilities. Participants may run or walk on the flat trails through a natural setting and along the Willamette River at Minto Brown Island Park.  The course allows Baby Joggers/Strollers. Wheelchairs are welcome, as are therapy, assistance, and well-mannered dogs on leashes. Please no skates, skateboards, rollerblades, bikes, scooters, or unregistered participants.  

All proceeds will be used to support the ongoing program at Love Reins Ranch, a local non-profit located in Salem, OR.  At the heart of Love Reins Ranch, the staff and volunteers provide a safe and welcoming environment where children with special needs receive careful attention and are encouraged to explore, create, play, and enlarge their boundaries. Centered around a stable of gentle, specially trained horses, the program is tailored to developing a relationship between child, horse, and the experienced handlers, which often results in significant breakthroughs and  improved outcomes of physical, mental and emotional well being.

Registration Details:
Pre-Registration until August 19:
$20*(Adult) / $10* (Child 5-17)
Free for Toddlers 4&under
*Pre-registration includes commemorative Dri-Fit T-shirt. 

Day of Event Registration:
$25 (Adult) / $15 (Child) T-shirt availability and sizes not guarantee for race day registrations.

Awards:
Wooden Medals and prizes for 1st, 2nd 3rd place in 5k and 10k as well as best western costume.
Refreshments will be provided for all participants.
