3.21 Run for Down Syndrome - VIRTUAL Event

The Eastern Pennsylvania Down Syndrome Center’s top priority is the health and well-being of our members, volunteers, staff, communities and event attendees. As you likely heard, the Wolf Administration strongly encourages the suspension of large gatherings, events, conferences of more than 10 people, and per White House guidelines, ask that individuals and groups cancel any gatherings planned over the next eight weeks.

Therefore, we have decided to convert the 7th Annual 3.21 Run to a virtual race so that you can participate in a social distancing manner, stay active and still come together as a community to support our mission.

What is a virtual race?
Virtual races are events (runs/walks) that can be completed by participants anywhere over a range of time at the pace of your choice.

What can I expect?
A lot of fun! We’re working on challenges, contests and of course some cool prizes! Most importantly, we’ll get the community talking about Down syndrome!

While we are disappointed that we can no longer offer the same event experience due to reasons beyond our control, we hope you understand our decision that refunds will not be issued for this race. Every race registration purchased goes directly to funding the Eastern Pennsylvania Down Syndrome Center’s mission and our members need your support now more than ever. With your support and the support of our sponsors, we have already raised over $5,000 which helps to provide medical, educational, and social support to more than 50 families influenced by Down syndrome.

Although the race has moved to a virtual event, we will still be providing an opportunity for you to pick up your t-shirt. Stay tuned for more information on this and additional virtual race details next week.

It’s not your typical 5K, it has just a little bit extra to make it special.  The world is your course. The 3.21 Run can be done any place and at any pace!

Thank you,
Wendy Carney, Race Director
Kerri DiDario, Executive Director EPDSC
