This new event will challenge runners and walkers to complete at least four cumulative half-marathon (13.1-mile) distances. New this year, we also challenge cyclists to complete at least four full-marathon (26.2-mile) distances. Miles can be accrued over several workouts, on the 165-mile D&L Trail or somewhere else, any time between October 1 and November 1. You select where, when, and how, then register your miles easily on RunSignup’s website.
Just as with the D&L Half Marathon, 100% of proceeds from the D&L Trail Challenge will support trail building and programming along the wonderful D&L Trail. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. If you love the D&L Trail and the great outdoor areas of our region, then we ask you join us in this year’s event.
A real-time Leader Board will engage your competitiveness, or you can race against a personal mileage goal, or you can simply participate for fun and fitness. Runners and walkers who cumulatively complete four half marathons, and cyclists who cumulatively complete four full marathons, during the month of October, will conquer the challenge and receive specially made finishers’ medals mailed to their homes.
***Disclaimer: Do not run, walk or bike on unsafe or closed roads. Follow social distancing guidelines and any other requirements set forth by local, state and federal agencies. This is a virtual event only, not a mass gathering.***

A: No! You can complete the event from anywhere in the world!
