First Annual Run the Pike 5k

The First Annual Run The Pike 5k will take place on Saturday, September 16th starting at the famous Spring House Tavern in Spring House, PA! 

This is a ground breaking event for the area....It's THE FIRST TIME EVER that we will be CLOSING DOWN Bethlehem Pike from Shedle Lane to Penllyn Pike for a run!!!!

With careful planning with the PIKE FEST committee, Lower Gwynedd Township & Scoogie Events, we have joined together with The famous Spring House Tavern and the brand new Whole Foods in Spring House (along with many other local businesses on Bethlehem Pike) to bring you one of THE MOST EXCITING NEW EVENTS IN THE AREA!!!

This first year event will be CAPPED at 500 runners for the first year and we expect this race to sell out by mid August if not earlier. 

Please register early as we cannot accept any runners once the 500 limit has been reached!

I wheel measured 5k course begins at ON THE CLOSED Bethlehem Pike at Key Bank at 8:00 am on 9/16 and takes runners on Bethlehem Pike to Dager Rd and then around Wissahickon High School and onto the beautiful Lower Gwynedd Township trail system back to the finish line at The Spring House Tavern where all runners will be treated to a continental breakfast served by Whole Foods Spring House and the Spring House Tavern.

And...drum roll....FREE mimosa's for runners of age provided by The Spring House Tavern!!!

"You ask for it.....we deliver": Many folks have been asking if we are giving age group awards in five year increments (versus ten year)....NOW we are!! From now on, ALL Scoogie events age group awards will be in FIVE YEAR age increments!!

Also: New disposable bib tag timing by DQ Events(same timing that is used at the NYC Marathon). Instant results available at finish. Results posted at www.dqevents.com in 24-48 hours. 

Packet Pick up will be held at Born To Run :-)

A racer email will be sent out the Monday before the race detailing everything that you will need to know about packet pick up and race day details. 

***If you cannot attend packet pick up....you can pick up your packet on race morning starting at 6:15 am.

AWARDS: "You ask for it.....we deliver": From now on, ALL Scoogie events age group awards will be in FIVE YEAR age increments!! Awards given for 5k: Overall winner (male and female), plus top three males and females in each age category: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70+
