Description

Possum Glory Endurance Race is a 25K and 10K trail run held at Tri-County ATV in Northern Cambria, PA.  There is a ruck / march option for the 25K.  The race is sponsored by Lt. Garfield Thomas Jr. VFW Post #4963.  The race is hosted by members of Team Red, White, and Blue.  Team RWB's mission is to enrich the lives of America's Veterans.

Refunds

Unfortunately, it is not practical to offer refunds to everyone who will be unable to make it to the start on race day due to any number of complicating circumstances; however, we understand that sometimes things are beyond your control.  If for some reason you are unable to make it to the start on August 18th, you can request a deferral to next year's race.  Send an email to rwbbowers@gmail.com and you will be placed on a list of deferred entrants.  

Cut-Offs

The 25K must be completed by 2 p.m. on race day.  This allows for 5 hours for both 25K runners and ruckers.  Decisions by the Race Director to pull runners from the course will be made at the Route 403 aid station or any time after a runner crosses this point.

Packet Pick-Up / Start and Finish / Accomodations

Packet pick-up and start and finish location will be at Tri-County ATV (632 Tower Hill Road, Northern Cambria, PA 15714) on Friday, August 17, 2018 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Packets may also be picked up on race day until 8:45 a.m. for the 25K and 25K Ruck, and 9:45 a.m. for the 10K.  

Accommodations include: primitive free camping, kids play area, concession stand, indoor staging area, picnic areas. 

Awards

25K Awards

  • Overall 1st Place male/female finishers will receive a plaque.
  • Age group winners (male/female) will receive medals.
  • Age groups (29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over). 
  • Finisher dog tags for all 25K participants who finish the race by the cut-off time.

10K Awards 

  • Overall 1st Place male/female finishers will receive medals.
  • Age group winners (male/female) will receive dog tags.
  • Age groups (29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over).

*We will hand out awards as runners cross the finish line.  Ruck marchers will only receive a finisher medal and will not receive awards. 

 

Aid Support Stations

Medical Personnel will be at various aid stations/finish.  There will also be medical personnel traveling the course throughout the day.  There is ONLY one crew location or place to see your runner at mile 12.5 at Route 403.

1 - Sleddog (Mile .. / 10K and 25K / Fluids only)

2 - Mottin (Mile .. / 25K / Full Aid Station)

3 - Sneeden (Mile .. / 25K / Full Aid Station and Crew Area)

4 - Ault (Mile ..  / has 25K / Full Aid Station)

25K Ruck / March

Ruck marchers will be permitted to ruck with any amount of weight they choose to.  Only finisher medals will be given for completion of the course.  Ruck marchers will have until 2 p.m. to complete the course.  

Entry Fees

25K Run - $45 until August 11, 2018 (Includes short sleeve wick shirt and post-race meal)

  • $55 after August 11th to race day (no shirt guaranteed after 8/11 registration)

25K Ruck - $35 until August 11, 2018 (includes American Flag and post-race meal)

  • $45 after August 11th to race day (no flag guaranteed after 8/11 registration)

10K Run - $25 until August 11, 2018 (includes short sleeve cotton shirt)

  • $35 after August 11th to race day (no shirt guaranteed after 8/11 registration)
