RUBE'S RUN

The 23rd Annual Rube's Run 5k Run and Walk will be Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Early registration is $20 and ends at 11:59 p.m. July 20, after which the cost increases to $25. Shirts cannot be ordered after July 20. Online registration is open until 6 p.m. July 26. Race-day registration is $25 and shirts will not be available.

There will be trophies for 1st place male and female finishers in all age groups. Participants can enjoy hotdogs (cooked and served by a professional caterer) and drinks while the results are being tabulated. 

The Kids Race will take place immediately following the 5k. The Kids Race is free, but T-shirts (one size, one style) are $5 and must be ordered by the July 20 deadline.

Shirts will not be available for race-day registrants! 

If you want to participate but do not want to attend the event, you can enter our "Virtual Race." Register here or by mail, run 3.1 miles at a location of your choosing, and report your time to jtgallagher@zoominternet.net by noon on race-day. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards, but will be listed in the race results among "Virtual Finishers." If registered by the July 20 deadline, Virtual Race participants can pick up a complimentary T-shirt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 26, at the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, or have their shirt mailed to them for an extra $8.

All proceeds help the Prospect Area Preservation Society. The 5k course passes the boyhood home of baseball hall-of-famer Rube Waddell.
