2020 Buffalo Creek No Race

Are you missing the Buffalo Creek Half Marathon ran annually on the third Saturday of October?  So are we.  The preparations, the anticipation, the comradery of runners and volunteers, the competition, the beautiful Fall colors, the crisp morning air, the peacefulness of the Trail, the hot apple cider, the whole wheat fig cookies, the smiles, the jubilation, the exhaustion.

COVID made us do it. Cancel the race.

You do not have to miss out on the annual long-sleeve technical race shirt with its unique logo each year to memorialize something related to the Trail (the owl; the bear; the turtle; the red, white and blue of the group singing the National Anthem; the heron in the raindrop).  The long-sleeve technical race shirt is loved by the runners and coveted by the volunteers.

This year and this year only, we are offering a long-sleeve technical race shirt to EVERYONE --- runners, volunteers, supporters of the Butler Freeport Community Trail.  The 2020 logo on the shirt commemorates this bizarre and unprecedented year of COVID and the canceling of the race.  The proceeds from the sale of the shirt go to the Butler Freeport Community Trail Council for the maintenance, development, and promotion of the Trail.

You can receive this limited-edition long-sleeve technical race shirt and a bonus of 2 whole wheat fig cookies, if you like, by “registering” for the 2020 Buffalo Creek No Race on this website.  Registration will be open until November 1, 2020.  Once registration is closed, your shirt in the style and size selected by you will be printed.  Your shirt and bonus cookies will be mailed to you at the address you provide.  Remember we are not Amazon.  We are an all-volunteer organization. We will get your shirt mailed ASAP and no later than December 15, 2020.  In time for Christmas?!!!
