Description

Indian Creek Foundation’s 28th annual Roll, Stroll & Run will take place on Saturday, June 15th in Souderton. This charity ride/walk/race typically draws nearly 300 participants and volunteers from all over Southeastern PA and NJ. With scenic and challenging courses of 62, 40, 20 and 10 miles, this event has something for cyclists of all skill levels. There is also a 5k and 1k course for walkers or runners! Back for a third year is our TIMED 5K run! Afterwards, participants can enjoy an all-you-can-eat picnic buffet, live music, and many other fun activities. This event is sure to be fun for the entire family.

In addition to being one of the biggest community events of the year, it is also Indian Creek Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser. Indian Creek Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.   Proceeds from this year's event will be used to make necessary renovations in several of our 24 residential care homes.  After registering, you will have the opportunity to create your own fundraising page to encourage your friends help us reach our goal of a new kitchen.

Founded in 1975, Indian Creek Foundation’s mission is to provide opportunities for people, with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to live in and enrich the community throughout their lives. The Foundation continues to grow and meet the changing needs of the surrounding community with programs provided through the departments listed below:

Behavioral Health Services: This department provides behavioral health supports to children and adults, who have an intellectual or developmental disability and mental health challenges. Home and community based supports incorporate the use of positive approaches, relationship development, skill building and environmental adaptations to promote positive behaviors. Services include: Intake/Extended Assessment, Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services Wraparound (BHRS), the Outpatient Mental Health Center, Therapeutic After School Program (TASP), Summer Therapeutic Activities Program (STAP) and Behavior Support.

Community Based Services: Programs provide long and short-term supports to children and adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, who live with their families and in the community. Services are designed to promote independence, to provide training and assistance to family members and to create connections to services within the community. Support programs include Respite, and STAR of Indian Creek.

Residential Services: A continuum of individualized services are offered to support people in exploring their place in the community. Twenty-four hour a day care is provided in homes throughout the area. Support is also given to individuals living in the community. Services include medication management and administration, transportation, personal care, goal-setting and engagement in community activities. Programs include Community Living Arrangements, Intermediate Care Facilities, Lifesharing, Supported Living and Nursing Services.

Day Services: Vocational training, employment and day program options are provided for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Residents of Indian Creek Foundation and other adults in the community are offered a variety of support options including the C.O.R.E (Community, Outreach, Relationships, Empowerment) and Supported Employment Programs (SEP). ICF Solutions, a division of Indian Creek Foundation, encompasses the Facility Based Work Program and Transitional Employment Program (TEP).

By participating in Roll Stroll & Run, and by encouraging others to sponsor your efforts, you are making a difference in the lives of the individuals that Indian Creek Serves.
