Right on the heels of announcing the really cool shirts we'll have for early preregistrants, I'm sorry to have to make this announcement, and appreciate your understanding.
Due to continued construction at the Phillips Mill Bridge near Mile 10 of the Bucks County Marathon course we are forced to find a different course.
The easiest and smartest alternative is to use the already certified Chasing the Unicorn Marathon course. The same course we used last Sunday.
A certified course map is also attached to the tabs to the left.
Here's what the Half Marathon course looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3chyXA1ulw
It's not a change we take lightly and it isn't what we'd prefer to do, but as the linked video states, this is still a marathon run on a USATF certified marathon course. USATF sanctioned. Run your BQ time and you just may qualify for the 2020 Boston Marathon.
The change does make the course a little flatter. It will be easier for your spectators to see you more often. and will reduce strain on the Medical Team. For those of you who tell me how much they hate the "Spiral of Death" we've just eliminated the mental strain of the final circle.
I'm certain many of you won't be happy and I expect I will hear from you about it. My direct email address is: pat@runBUCKS.com
Thank you for your time and again, I'm sorry
