EVERYONE THAT IS REGISTERED BY TOMORROW NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT WILL BE GUARANTEED AN EVENT T-SHIRT.
ALL TEAMS WHO WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT THE NAME OF THEIR LOVED ONE FOR THE BACK OF THE SHIRT MUST HAVE THAT INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY TOMORROW AT MIDNIGHT.
ALL SPONSORS THAT WISH FOR THEIR LOGO TO BE ON THE SHIRT MUST ALSO HAVE THEIR INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY MIDNIGHT TOMORROW NIGHT !!

Description

NOM-York’s 5K was created to raise funds to support our mission – to provide awareness, education and support to those affected by substance use disorder and addiction – as well as to provide a gathering opportunity for the recovery community. At our event, we remember those we have lost to addiction and honor those fighting for recovery. 

Our 5K is not like others. It is not a highly competitive event. Although we do our best, we sometimes start the race a little late, and we have hiccups along the way. If you are a serious runner, this may not be the event for you.

 

EARLY PACKET PICKUP APRIL 29-30 AND MAY 2

EARLY PACKET PICKUP AT CHURCH OF THE OPEN DOOR

TUESDAY APRIL 30TH 4-7 PM

THURSDAY MAY 2ND 4-7 PM

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE COMING TO GET YOUR TEAMS OR INDIVIDUAL PACKETS PRIOR TO RACE DAY.

TEAMS WILL BE PACKED UP ALL TOGETHER, WE WOULD LIKE IF ONE PERSON PICKS UP THE ENTIRE TEAMS SHIRTS AND BAGS AND DISTRIBUTES THEM TO YOUR TEAM.

WE WILL SEND OUT REMINDERS AS WE GET CLOSER AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO IS PICKING UP EVERYTHING. 

YOU WILL BE ASKED TO TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO SIT AND GO THROUGH YOUR TEAMS BOX TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS THERE AND SIGN OFF THAT YOU AREN'T MISSING ANYTHING. 

SHIRTS AND BAGS THAT ARE NOT PICKED UP ON RACE DAY WILL BE AT THE REGISTRATION AREA FROM 8AM-10AM ON THE DAY OF THE RACE. 

AGAIN ALL TEAMS WILL BE PACKED UP TOGETHER  !!

RACE DAY INFORMATION

You can start arriving at 8:00 am to begin to enjoy this exciting day ! 

Follow the signs for parking, we will have parking attendants to assist you. The parking lot directly in front of where the race begins is reserved for FOOD TRUCKS and handicapped parking only!

8:00 AM Resource tents and food trucks will be ready to go.

8:00 AM Day of registration and packet pick up will begin.

8:30-9:45 AM Complimentary Team photos will be taken  (there will be signs).

9:00 AM Snow Palace will be ready to serve icees!

9:00 AM until the end of the race HACC Massage Therapy will be providing chair massages.

10:00 AM RACE STARTS!!!

After the race, at the finish line, stop and see Donna and Dill Pickles, handing out pickles in memory of Dillon Wentz.

BigGodLittleAddiction will be back again this year handing out hotdogs. 

Don't forget to go see HACC Massage Therapy for a complimentary chair massage!

We love to have resources at our event to share information and enjoy the day. There is never a cost for setting up at one of our events.

We just ask that you set up with a tent. You must provide your own tent, tables and chairs.

TEAMS

 

There are a few reasons families or loved ones create teams. 

A team of 5 or more adult registrations can put the name of their loved one lost due to an addiction-related death on the back of the event t-shirt. 

Many teams create their own shirts to wear on the day of the 5k (you still get our shirt with your registration).

Some of the teams go to the Village of the Lost Loved Ones and set up a tent to sit and socialize with other families.

Teams get a free digital photo from Sincerely Samantha with the choice to purchase more from her.

Many teams choose to walk/run together during the event.

To create a team, click on the registration box for teams and follow the instructions.

Photos will begin at 8:30 am and end at 9:45 am. They will be taken by Sincerely Samantha Photography. Everyone will receive one free digital photo and a link to order more will be sent to the team captain a few days after the event.
 
Appointments are not necessary for the photo. Once your team has arrived, go to that area to have your picture taken.

NO PHOTOS WILL BE TAKEN AFTER THE EVENT.

Event T-shirts

An event t-shirt is included with all registrations received by APRIL 10TH.

Adult sizes: Adult Small through Adult 4X. You will choose your size when you register.

Kids t-shirt sizes: Youth Medium and Youth Large. 

A limited number of event shirts will be on sale on the day of the event.

 

Village of Lost Loved Ones

Each year families have gathered to set up tents and banners in memory of their loved ones they have lost to addiction. Each year this " Village " of tents has grown. This year we invite anyone that wants to set up their own space so they have a place to sit and relax, to join The Village of Lost Loved Ones. This was named by the families that have been coming each year. There is no cost to set up a tent. Feel free to bring chairs and just sit with other families even if you choose to not set up a tent!
