The COVID 19 pandemic has forced us to make a few event format changes and to put safeguards in place for everyone’s comfort and safety. Participant and volunteer peace of mind and safety are paramount in our Run for the Planet planning and execution. In order to insure a successful race, we ask that you carefully read the following Safety Procedure Guidelines and familiarize yourself with this year’s Event Format changes.
If you have tested positive or recovered from COVID 19, have been exposed to COVID, have been medically quarantined within 14-days leading up to the Race, feel feverish or have a current fever, we ask that you change your race status to Virtual participation. ALL REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ONLINE and available until 30 minutes before race start or until the event SELLS OUT.
In order to limit contact, there will be no paper registrations.
PROTECTIVE GEAR and SANITATION PROTOCOL
All staff and volunteers are required to wear personal protective gear at all times.
Participants are required to wear a mask Pre and Post Race. Runners will carry the mask in a pocket, waistband or running belt and put it on post race. Masks will be available just beyond the finish line in the event a runner loses their mask.
Hand washing and sanitizing stations will be accessible throughout the venue.
Physical distancing will be maximized in runner areas, including but not limited to packet pickup, portable restroom lines, race start, water stations, finish and post-race activity.
The race will have multiple start times with a limit of 75 participants at each start time. When you register please select your starting corral time.
RACE TIME GUIDELINES:
1. Face Masks will be required up to the time of start and immediately after crossing the finish line.
2. Do not spit. Cover your mouth if you have to cough or sneeze.
3. Please maintain a safe 6 ft distance when possible.
4. There will be tables with masked and gloved attendants providing water in compostable cups. (There will NOT be a water station on the course)

We ask that no one congregates at the finish line.
All Results will be available via QR CODE on your bib. Simply scan your bib with a smartphone camera to see your results. Due to the nature of the event, your race standing for awards will not be available until the last group finishes.
