Individual fundraisers help us carry out our mission to advocate for the behavioral, educational, medical and physical safety needs of abused and neglected children in foster care. When a child is placed in foster care, the child’s life becomes a maze of strangers, social workers, therapists, police, foster parents, judges, and more. CASA volunteers are a constant presence—sometimes the only constant presence—in a foster care child’s life.

Children with a CASA volunteer are more likely to find a safe, permanent home, and are:

• More likely to be adopted
• Half as likely to reenter foster care
• Substantially less likely to spend time in long-term foster care
