In consideration of you accepting this entry, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound do hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Event Director, RunSignup.com, and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able to do so and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with running in this event, including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, traffic, and course conditions, and waive any and all claims that I might have based on any of those and other risks typically found in running a road race. I acknowledge all such risks are known and understood by me. I agree to abide by all decisions of any race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to enter this race that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that a licensed Medical Doctor has verified my physical condition.

In the event of an illness, injury or medical emergency arising during the event I hereby authorize and give my consent to the Event Director to secure from any accredited hospital, clinic and/ or physician any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care. I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to me including but not limited to medical transport, medications, treatment and hospitalization.

I understand that bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or inline skates, and loud personal music players are not allowed in the race, and I will abide by all race rules. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and inconsideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the HB Resolution Run, the city of Huntington Beach, California State Parks and Recreation, and the Huntington Beach Union High School District, all event sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. 

I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and/or other communicable diseases by participating in this event. I acknowledge that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and/or death. I understand the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 in connection with my participation in this event and personally assume this risk.

As it applies to my participation in this race, I agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov. I also agree to abide by any COVID-19 distancing and other safety guidelines issued by the state, the community or by this race for my participation in this race.

Further, I grant permission to all the foregoing to use my name, voice and images of myself in any photographs, motion pictures, results, publications or any other print, videographic or electronic recording of this event for legitimate purposes.

This event follows the standard running industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control, such as a natural disaster, extreme weather or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice. I understand that my entry fee is nonrefundable and bib numbers are non-transferable.

By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver, including the NO Refund policy. I agree NOT to pursue a "stop payment" for this Charity Event. 

 Dog Liability Waiver. 

I will, at all times, keep my dog on a leash and in my personal control without failure.

I understand that traveling and participating in the HBResolution Run with my dog in the city of Huntington Beach is not without risk to myself, my dog, my family members, and other participants of this race.

This includes, without limitation, risks of physical injury, mental injury, emotional distress, trauma, death, contact with other participants and their dogs, and property damage. All risks are known and appreciated by me. I have waived any and all specific notice of the existence of risks. I shall assume responsibility for and pay my and my dogs or other pets' medical and emergency expenses in the event of injury, illness, or other incapacities, regardless of whether I authorize such expenses. I agree that I, as the owner of the above dog(s) or other pet animals, I am solely responsible for the dog or other animals' behavior and physical control and agree to carefully monitor and control it at all times.

By reading and signing, and dating this document, I hear by wave and release the HB Resolution Run and all of its associates and volunteers, Huntington Beach Union High School District and all of its employees, the city of Huntington Beach, and the state of California Parks and Recreation from any and all damages, losses, fines, claims, suits, expenses including attorneys fees and defense costs, judgments and or liabilities of any form or nature resulting from any act or omission of my dog or pet.

This release of liability includes but is not limited to any injury, death, sickness or personal injury, or property damage by my dog or pet animal or I may suffer while on or around the premises of the HB Resolution Run race. This release also includes specifically but without limitation, any and all forms of personal injury, including death and property damage to myself, other persons, or other animals resulting from the act or omission of any and all dogs or other pet animals or dog owners. I expressly assume The risk of such damages or injuries and losses for the duration of the time spent at Huntington state beach during the HB resolution run. I agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the volunteers and organizers of the HB Resolution Run, the Huntington Beach Union High School District, and California state parks and recreation from any and all claims, suits, losses, damages, expenses, including attorney fees and defense costs judgments, fines, penalties and or liabilities due to any on all forms of personal injury including death and property damage which my pet or I may cause or be alleged to have caused to any person animal or property well on or around the premises of the HB Resolution Run. 

I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purposes.  I understand that this event does Not Provide Refunds in the event of a cancellation, and by signing this waiver, I consent that I am Not entitled to a refund if the event is canceled before or during the event. I agree NOT to pursue a "stop payment" for this Charity Event.
