I, individually (or as  a parent or guardian of a minor child under the age of 19 participating) state that I (or my minor child) is in  proper physical condition to run/walk in a 5k race  (as selected on this registration form) and  request to participate in said event on April 25, 2026; and, In consideration of the City of Tuscaloosa permitting the undersigned or his/her minor child to engage in the aforesaid activity, the undersigned does, for himself/herself, his/her heirs, assigns, executors and administrators, remise, release and forever discharge the city of Tuscaloosa, a Municipal Corporation, its officers, agents, and/or employees, event sponsors, and event volunteers and the Board of trustees of the University of Alabama, its member institution the University of Alabama, and its trustees, officers, employees and agents of and from all manner of action and actions, suits, and sums of money, dues, claims, or demands, whatsoever, which arise out of or in any manner grow out of, property damage, injuries or death sustained by the undersigned or his/her minor child, including injuries known or unknown, by reason of being permitted to participate in the aforesaid activity in the City of Tuscaloosa. The undersigned further agrees that he/she (or minor child participant) may be photographed or filmed during the race or post-race activity and consents to the City using the participant’s name and photograph or likeness contained in any photograph, broadcast, newspaper, web site, brochure or other media for publishing the race and for promoting any future events to be conducted by the City without any fee or compensation. In the event the event is delayed or canceled  for any reason due to acts of god or other cause beyond the control of the race organizers, participant agrees there shall be no refund of the entry fee or any other costs of the participant.
