Swing Bridge Run

The Swing Bridge Run will be on Saturday, November 4th 2023. Join Holy Trinity Classical Christian School in cooperation with the City of Beaufort for a 5K Run and All Ages Bridge Walk through historic downtown Beaufort and across the Woods bridge on a USATF certified 5k course. The Swing Bridge Run is part of a the Beaufort Triple Crown, a three 5k race series. Participants who complete all three races will be eligible for special series awards for best combined time. The registration bundle is only available until October 5, 2023. 

Don't like to run? Support our event by registering as a walker or a couch potato. Walkers will not be timed and will turn around at the end of the bridge before Meridian Road. Couch Potatoes can register as a waker for the t-shirt or click the Give Now button to make a donation and sleep in and enjoy coffee while you cheer on your favorite runner. 

The race will be preceded by a Sunrise Prayer Gathering at 7:15 am under the pavilion at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park where all are invited to join. Please bring a chair or a blanket to sit on and join us as we pray for the students and families of our Beaufort community, as well as for Holy Trinity's sister school Good Shepherd Academy in South Sudan.

Pre Race Prep:

• Race packet pick-up will be held on Friday, November 3rd from 10am until 5pm at Grounded Running.
• TEAMS - please send one representative to pick up team packets
• We will also have race number pick-up available on race day starting at 7am. 
• Race day registration will be available on Saturday, November 4th from 7:15am-7:45am in downtown Beaufort at the Grounded Running tent. 

T Shirts and Merchandise:

• All registrants will receive a coupon code to redeem in the online store for a free t-shirt OR other race merchandise of your choosing. Your selection will be delivered directly to your home.
• Follow our social accounts where we will post updates regarding all Swing Bridge Run activities.

Day of Schedule:

7:15-7:45 am: Sunrise Community Prayer Gathering
* Chairs will not be provided for this service so please bring a chair or blanket to sit on. 

7:00-7:45 am: Day of Race Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration

8:00 am: 5K Start
8:20 am: All Ages Bridge walk starts, walkers fall in behind runners.
8:45 am: Award Ceremony

9:00 am: Enjoy your morning in downtown Beaufort 

Additional Info:

• Event is dog friendly and stroller friendly - please fall in the back of the line behind the runners
• No bicycles please
• 5K Course: Start/finish line at Freedom Mall down Bay Street cross Woods Memorial Bridge to Lady's Island down Meridian Rd to Youmans Drive and double back on same route to Freedom Mall.

Race Day Awards

5k Run:

Top 3 overall male & female awards as well as age groups awarded to top 3 male & female: 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. The race is open for runners and walkers of all abilities. The awards ceremony will begin immediately following the race.
