Find Me Downtown 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run

The Morning News presents the Find Me Downtown 5K and Kids Fun Run Festival sponsored by the Leadership Florence class of 2013.  This is a great course that will begin and end at the Morning News taking runners through the historic Timrod Park area.  Bring the kids!  The Florence County Sheriff's Office is hosting the kids fun run and will have displays on site as well as an award for every participant.  All proceeds will be donated to Hope Health, Harvest Hope Food Bank, and Poyner Adult Education to provide scholarships for GED's.  Join us for our post race scavenger hunt followed by a street party in the heart of downtown on Evans Street for live music, food, and drinks @ 5:45 p.m.
